Through the Looking Glass
Do you have a cane chair that needs repair or a desire to learn this lost art? Sign up to learn how to cane from local caner, Susan Irwin. She will be hosting a class for interested parties on Monday, September 26 from 5-7 pm at Through the Looking Glass.
Her class will begin on Sept 26 with 2 additional sessions on October 3 and October 10 all from 5-7 at the store. Supplies must be ordered, therefore, the deadline for submitting your application and class fee is Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016. The cost is $120 for class and supplies and must pre-paid. Payment is non-refundable.

Applications can be picked up at Through the Looking Glass Antiques
Please bring from home to class: a small bucket for water, a spray bottle, small needle nose pliers, a few clothes pins, a rag, a chair to sit in, craft scissors (shears or snips) to cut the cane.
If you don’t have a chair to cane, one can be supplied for a cost of $30.00. These are Victorian side chairs in good, sturdy condition and dated from the 1850’s to 1890’s. Preview of supplied chairs can be arranged.
